I don’t have to let what she did destroy or hold my life in limbo at the point and time all this crap hit the fan. I feel liberated from so many painful feelings, by taking my life back. I think I thought I could not do anything to get free from the memories that I was supposed to work out forgiving so I could then release it peacefully. What I think now with all the help you people gave me is I don’t have to stay there in the muck she created, that is her life not mine, I can live my life without her definitions,choices,beliefs,ideas,thoughts,actions, from that moment. That I don’t have to let that crap decide my day or stop me from living right NOW for the rest of my life. I will not let what you did or said be with me anymore, I want to live now and not then, you were a loser and a loser does not get to hold me back from living or make me question my self worth or value. I know this may sound silly and kind of crazy, but I’ve been a really animalistic person since I was a little girl. I used to run around on all fours, growl, eat food off the floor, shake my feet like a big cat when I got them wet, etc. I used to really think I was an animal.
It’s gotten weirder now that I’m older. My hearing and smelling senses are very heightened; I find that I can hear someone whisper from across my class sometimes, and I always get sick off the most subtle of smells that are distasteful. Especially my cafeteria, or when someone in school is eating something. I can smell it wherever I am.
My pupils are constantly dilated also. I do not and have never done drugs. They dilate to almost their entire circumference when I’m outside at twilight, completely black, and when I’m in light they are much bigger and more noticeable than regular people. My friends and family always notice right off the bat and accuse me of drugs and joke about it.
I also have dreams of being in an animals body, and stalking prey, catching it and such. And ripping it up. It’s never disturbing to me. It’s actually very liberating. I have these often.
Can anyone tell me what this means? I feel like a freak.

Sa T, I don’t understand. I read that dilated pupils mean a permanent state of anxiety, or the fight-or-flight thoughts.
I don’t think I derive any pleasure from these thoughts. I’m a writer, and I’m very descriptive, and when someone makes me mad, I get these really strange, descriptive thoughts of me hunting them down. I’m a Christian, and I don’t wish to think like that.

Dilated pupils do NOT mean hostility, quite the opposite in fact.
As for the other ideas, they are self perpetuating: the more you think about them the more frequently they occur. You of course have no desire to stop them because you derive pleasure out of them. This is a characteristic of any addiction you care to mention. Even addiction to pain (masochism) is based on pleasure derived out of experiencing the opposite of what we usually associate with pleasure but which constitutes pleasure to the masochist. Nothing anybody tells you is going to make you stop having these thoughts unless you yourself genuinely wish to give them up. Start by consciously making an effort to dismiss these thoughts when they occur to gradually wean yourself off.
If you left them untethered, you may not like yourself much this time next year.

I used to think I could do something about becoming better or smarter or improve in some way but I don’t think so anymore and it’s the most liberating/inspiring thing ever.

I think that everything works like light does. The color you see is the only color not bounced into your eyes. I don’t believe in time or anything really except that I do fully. I think that everything you can see or feel or think is just what it is in it’s relation to everything else simultaneously. The idea that there is this "present moment" completely relies on the contrast of past and future. And past and future never end being completely limitless.

I think that every idea or concept "travels" (depending on time) in the path of least resistance. I think our thoughts are completely reactionary to the environment that surrounds it. Fate and free choice made out of the other. one and a million.

A fish will never know what water is unless it somehow gets out. Water to it relies on water existing. That fish never knew that water existed because he has been in balance with it. No contrast, no perceived existence.

Everything in this life has an equal and opposite reaction. Your good thoughts only exist in contrast to bad thoughts otherwise you wouldn’t experience them. Everything does indeed happen for a reason and that reason is because it’s possible.

Words depend on the definitions of every other word in order to contrast. Limits are composed of infinite possibility in perfect equilibrium with itself.

And if it’s true that contrast is what is experienced then contrast only exists in contrast to no contrast. There is everything because there is nothing. The idea of fate has a meaning for me reactionary to my environment that relies on everything else being equally true or false.

Nothing is good as a matter of fact but rather of interpretation and so it isn’t true in the very idea of what it is. Everything is the opposite of what it is.

Life is just one big contradiction!

It is a very lengthy philosophy, for sure. I don’t agree with you that life is just one big paradox, however. It could be that life is just existing in a parallel capacity. Seen and unseen. Denial and faith. Practical and idealistic. Earth and heaven. And so on. I like things in a more simplistic manner. So you could teach the idea to a child.

As a supporter of Israel rt. to exist with many Jewish friends I find it very disturbing that the MSM (news media) hardly discuss this. Americans liberated Nazi camps and has given over $20 BILLION Dollars (last 5 yrs) in direct grant aid to Israel (more than all of its Aid to Africa in the same prd. I believe).
If we were more even handed with the Arabs (most of whom are not terrorists and sell us the oil we need (they are not forcing us to buy it )), we would’ve greater peace & stability in the Mideast, lower gas prices, and less propaganda for the Osamas of this world.
If an US policy is BOTH immoral (ie leads to the killing civilians and destruction of their homes) and is against the US’s security and economic interests should we allow the politicians to advance just b/c powerful lobbyists tell them too?

There is no parallel to these events as back in 1947 it was a negotiated settlement reached between the leadership of Hindus and Muslims of undivided India as to how to divide the British India into Pakistan and India so that they can live in peace and harmony, which were not the cases with Russia, China and Israel.

About Indonesia, they have granted liberation to East Timor. We came to believe that the whole spirit of Y!A Q&A forum is to share our knowledge, views and perspective while responding to a question. It is indeed very good that you are not ‘shallow in thought’ but what is the harm in repetition of the facts, even if you are already aware of, which the Respondent may not be aware of?

Please let me know which part was objectionable or intimidating or boasting or whatever that caused you to post the Additional Details for me to improve on how I am responding? Thanks for your feedback.

i know this may seem common sense but really, if you think about it, humility doesnt always come naturally for some people. I have a stubborn nature and I was brought up very confident and elevating myself due to experiences and upbringing…but as I grew older, I realized that a lot of my sufferings inside (jealousy, insecurity etc) are a result of my "ego" or self or pride..sense of entitlement, or the desire to be the "best" at whatever, and wanting the men I date to see me that way…resulting to insecurity or jealousy unnecessarily. The question is, I have been contemplating a lot about my life and one of the things I want to start w/ is to learn to be humble. I am finally in a place in my life where I would definitely like this to happen. I just had a baby, and I am in a great relationship w/ a man who I emotionally and spiritually connect with..and I really want to change some of my ways in a positive way bec. it is due time that I do so..little by little of course. This guy brings out a lot of emotions and feelings in me..maybe not him per se but the feeling of vulnerability of being in love w/ someone so much, and not wanting to lose them. I dont know if this makes any sense..but how do I achieve this humility. How do I get my spirituality back? I am feeling a bit unsettled about myself. I know I have a lot of great qualities but humility will get me to the next level but I’ve forgotten how to start getting there…. please help.

I always say me and my man are soul-mates bec we connect in such a deeper way…but how can you eliminate soul from your existence? how exactly do you do this?
